gingerbread tea

The smell of the tea bag is reminiscent of the gingerbread my mum used to make for me. This fades slightly when boiling water is added but I love the taste and warmth of liquorice, the bite of ginger and the comfort of cinnamon so this tea is perfect for me. I can’t get enough of it! However, I do need to ration myself on days when I feel a bit anxious. Well done Teapigs!

I found this had a slight fusty, sickly sort of smell that I couldn't identify, like ginger biscuits but not quite - possibly the star anise.

It was very good as a digestive after dinner though and I'll use what I have, but don't think I'll order it again.

I love this tea and find it very soothing for my stomach.
My local deli has sold out, so I'm delighted to find that I can but it online.
i like liquorice but unlike others, I don't taste it particularly taste it in this tea.

This tea is so comforting and reminds me of baking gingerbread with my family as a child. I last bought it two years ago and still remember how the flavour distinctly tastes like gingerbread. It's a perfect drink for the festive season.

I've written a review of this tea 3 years ago - at the time I really loved this tea and I couldn't stop praising it. Yesterday I tried it again and it wasn't as good as I remembered. I am not sure if it is because my palate changed or teapigs changed the recipe. I don't remember the taste of liquorice being this strong 3 years ago.
